Wat Saman Rattanaram is a temple located in Chachoengsao province, approximately 50km east of Bangkok, Thailand. Chachoengsao is where I go to report in for my visa requirements so I have been to the temple several times. In many ways it is more of a local Thai attraction, than a tourist attraction. On the grounds there is a giant Reclining Ganesha which is said to be the biggest in Thailand if not the world. It is 16 meters high and 22 meters long.
The temple is located on the Bang Pakong River. at Wat Saman Rattanaram there is also a four-faced Phra Phrom. This temple is known for having a many Hindu influences, and is a good place to visit to see mow much Thais respect the Hindu culture.
If you visit plan to spend an hour or so on the temple grounds. As is usual with Thailand, there is good food available at a couple of casual dining establishments.
This is a great place to visit that is a little off the beaten path for most tourists, and I do recommend it.
